
Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department is
an all volunteer department of 18 personnel that operates out of two stations. Station 1 is located on School St.
in Murfreesboro, and our new substation located north of Murfreesboro on Lake Greeson, which is staffed by local residents
of the area. The city of Murfreesboro currently has a class 7 ISO rating, while our substation is a class 9. Both stations
are working on lowering this rating with more training and purchasing firefighting equipment. The Department provides the
follwoing emergency services: structure firefighting, wildland firefighting, search and rescue, marine rescue, first
responder medical services, and auto extraciton.The department constantly trains to keep up with the latest fire fighting,
medical care, and specialized rescue techniques.
